In 2003, the City and County Joint Commission on Elderly Affairs, an advisory board comprised of seniors 60+, recommended the creation of centers where seniors could congregate to share meals, participate in activities and access needed services. The centers offer meal programs, social services, arts and crafts, exercise classes, recreation and dance, computer classes, basic health screenings, work search programs and much more.

JCC Seniors enjoy a delicious, healthy kosher lunch four days a week for only $3. Non-JCC Senior members can enjoy their lunches at a cost of $5. The lunch program is sponsored by San Antonio Jewish Senior Services and The Jewish Federation of San Antonio.
